Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Isabella Avenue Dentistry (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, contact us, or interact with us outside of dental treatment.

If you are a patient: the health information we create and keep in the course of treating you is protected health information under HIPAA. How we use and share it, and the rights you have over it, are described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, not in this Privacy Policy. Where the two documents differ with respect to patient health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.

Information We Collect

Information You Give Us

When you fill out a form, request an appointment, sign up for communications, or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and whatever else you choose to include in your message. If you apply for a job with us, we collect the information in your application and resume.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, we and our analytics and advertising partners may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, links you click, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies described below.

Information From Other Sources

We may receive information about you from insurance providers, referral sources, review platforms, and advertising or analytics partners, in each case as permitted by law.

How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Respond to your questions and schedule or confirm appointments
  • Provide, operate, and improve our website
  • Send appointment reminders and, where you have agreed to it, news and special offers
  • Understand how visitors use our site and measure the performance of our advertising
  • Process employment applications
  • Detect and prevent fraud, protect the security of our systems, and comply with our legal obligations

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website remember your preferences and understand how it is being used. We use necessary cookies to make the site work, analytics cookies to see which pages are useful, and advertising cookies that may be used to show you our ads on other sites.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of our site work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on Google provides, and many advertising partners offer their own opt-out controls.

Text Messages and Email

If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about appointments and, where you have agreed to it, about offers and practice news. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help. Opting out of marketing texts does not stop messages we need to send you about your care. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email.

We do not sell or share your phone number, email address, or text messaging consent with third parties for their own marketing.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Companies that host our website, send our messages, manage our scheduling and forms, or provide analytics and advertising services on our behalf. They may use your information only to provide those services to us.
  • Legal reasons. When we are required to by law, or to respond to lawful requests, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of our patients, our team, or the public.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business.
  • With your direction. When you ask us to share it.

Your Choices

You can opt out of marketing emails and texts as described above, adjust cookie settings in your browser, and contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request that we delete it. We will respond as required by applicable law. Some information we are required to retain, including dental records, which are governed by HIPAA and California record retention rules rather than by this Policy.

California Privacy Rights

Medical information we create or receive in the course of treating you is protected health information under HIPAA and is additionally protected by California’s Confidentiality of Medical Information Act. That information is addressed in our Notice of Privacy Practices and is exempt from the California Consumer Privacy Act. To make a request about personal information that falls outside HIPAA, contact us using the details below.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you rights over the personal information we collect through our website and other non-treatment interactions. These include the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, the right to request that we correct or delete it, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising any of these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. Information about our patients who are minors is collected through their parent or guardian in the course of care and is handled under HIPAA. If you believe a child has given us information through the website, please contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Sites

Our website may link to sites we do not control, such as insurance carriers, review platforms, or social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Security and Retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive health details through website forms or email; call the office instead. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here or as the law requires.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website after a change means you accept the updated Policy.
